The 2017 AIM Convention in Charlotte

To be completely honest, I had fun but it wore me out. I have been attending these yearly conventions since I was a fetus and still not immune to it.  haha! It’s a great opportunity to see friends from around the country while experiencing the presence of God. But my two major motivations are to be with my family and Revival Fire! If you don’t know about Revival Fire let me help you out real quick. The evangelism department conducts services nightly after the main services. They start about 11:00 p.m. and continue on until about 1:30 a.m. or 2:00 a.m. This year Revival services were LIT! (as the young folk say) There were some things that I was asking God for and they were manifested. I figure I traveled too far not to get what I need from the Lord. Many conversations I’ve had where people stated that they were sick of “Church” as usual. You go in one way and leave the same. That is not the case anymore. Revival has hit the nation and I am excited!  To look across the room and see people praising and worshiping God was beautiful.

AIM stands for Auxiliaries in Ministry. It includes Children, Sunday School, Youth, Music, Mission, and Evangelism. The Church of God in Christ has two major conventions a year. There are other COGIC conventions that go on throughout the year which includes The International Women’s Convention I have yet to experience.  For the last several years the winter (November) convention has been held in St. Louis. Depending on what is decided the summer (July) is held anywhere in the United States. But I did hear that the summer convention for next year will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana.

As prior, stated I am a shonuff Church Girl and look forward to conventions every year, but one thing is for certain I will take God over religion any day!

Amelie’s French Bakery & Cafe 380 S. College St, Charlotte, NC  I was so intrigued with the chandeliers. So unique and eclectic right up my alley. Of course, I didn’t leave without a tasty treat! Chocolate Eclair and Pecan Pie Tart yummy! I would definitely recommend stopping by this amazing place.
Downtown Charlotte NC. I didn’t get a chance to go inside the Nascar Hall of Fame but I just had to take a picture. Next time I am here I will make sure to do so. Oh yeah, and I am wearing my TricaB shirt! Purchase your shirt today 2 for $25 I enjoyed Charlotte, however hot but pleasurable.
